Guide Use your Nokia as a WebCam

  • Get Digia ImageExpo application
  • Install it and configure it on your PC as well as phone.. In my case, connection via USB worked best…Bluetooth connection always trouble saying "bluetoothconnection in in use already" ..no matter, I tried everything for that.. But through USB it works flawless… Now you should be able to use your phone through your computer, see everything on the phone on your computer screen (just the way, Remote S60 works)
  • Now get the software called "SoftCam" version 1.5 or latest. Install it, (learn about SoftCam on website) it works as Virtual Webcam.
  • Now start your favourite messenger and Start webcam. SoftCam software gets initiated automatically. Go to SoftCam Options and change "Default Live VideoSource" to "SoftCam Screen Capture" …(to go to options of SoftCam, look at the right bottom corner on system tray, there should be an icon of camera. This icon appears, as soon you click on Start My Webcam option in Yahoo messenger, just right click that ICON and click on show Panel option)…
  • Now one hollow square rectangle appears on screen, and wherever you move this rectangle, screen behind it gets broadcasted as video, this is fun.
  • Now just match your Digia ImageExpo’s window (in which you’re seeing your mobile’s screen) to this square. You can resize both. Just turn on Camera on phone ..thats it… And you’ll able to use your fone as a webcam.
